Friends,

After consulting with Susan Koenig (Board Chairperson), we have decided to suspend all activities at the church through Sunday evening, beginning immediately. The only exception at this time will be the distribution of food boxes on Thursday. The clients will not be shopping in the building, rather they will be given a box of provisions in the alley. This will include, but will not be limited to DWF on Tuesday, Bible Study, Dinner, Youth Group, and Choir on Wednesday as well as Sunday School and Worship 3/22. Additionally, while the office will remain open and the custodians will continue to clean the church, no non-essential activity is permitted. No projects, no small-group meetings, etc. This is to attempt to maintain the disinfection of the church only.

With no Bible Study or Worship on Sunday. I will be live-streaming a lesson on Genesis Wednesday at 6pm and the message on Sunday at 10:30a. If you would like to watch, just become my friend on Facebook at Jim Wilhelm or like the church’s Facebook page at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Cushing OK Also, if we’re already friends and you’re watching, be sure and share the post with the live video so we can spread the word.

Also, without worship, we won’t have an opportunity to collect an offering. I’ll be honest with you friends, running the church costs money and we need your help. You can easily drop your offering in the mailbox or you can give SECURELY online here at https://tithe.ly/give?c=335567 Several of our members utilize this service to pay their tithes and they love it!

Finally, if you need anything at all, call me, call the church. Even though we’re not meeting together, we’re here for each other now more than ever. Don’t be afraid to reach out to us if you need anything at all.
